Examining Saving and Spending Tendencies During The COVID-19 Pandemic Period and Imlplications in The Post Pandemic in Terms of Behavioral Finance
This study was conducted to reveal psychological and sociological behaviors such as fear and anxiety in individuals prevent them from making correct and rational decisions in the COVID-19 Pandemic period. In the literature, there are two different approaches to spending, saving and investment decisions. One is the Efficient Market Approach put forward by Fama and the other one is the expectation approach put forward by Kahneman and Tversty. Individuals are affected by sociological and anthropological events and as a result they do not act rationally and this confirms the behavioral finance approach put forward by Kahneman and Tversky.
