Individual Subjectivity, Belief and Nation Building in the Digital Age

This essay examines the notion of democratic authenticity in light of the digital age's dynamics and complications. It examines how digital technologies impact the individual's political subjectivity, the changing role of religion in the social and political spheres, how nation-building is modified in the digitalized world, and the emergence of global digital citizenship. Our core point is that democratic authenticity is required not only to defend individual rights, but also to create societal peace, diversity, and fairness in the digital era. While investigating the revolutionary and disruptive consequences of digitalization on political participation, we look at the new problems and possibilities that freedom of belief presents in the digital public realm. The paper provides a critical perspective on contemporary discussions in this subject, focusing on the future of digital democracy, the ambiguous position of religion in the digital public sphere, and the conceptual boundaries of global digital citizenship. Our goal is to create a complete framework for strengthening democratic authenticity in the digital era while also contributing to the future creation of democratic societies.
