The Mondaecus Translation Service

This presentation was delivered at the CRAFT-OA Summer School for Journal Editors (University of Coimbra, June 2025) and introduces MONDAECUS, a multilingual, collaborative translation platform developed within the OPERAS-PLUS project. Designed as an open and inclusive service for translating scholarly content in the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH), MONDAECUS engages academic and non-academic communities through co-creation, peer collaboration, and transparent revision workflows. The talk focused on the community dimension of the platform, highlighting strategies for onboarding, inclusive governance, and reproducible publication practices aligned with Open Science principles.
