Population dynamics, types. Population migration (external, internal), factors determining it, main trends. Impact of migration on population health. Moldo
Population dynamics are shaped by migration, which is at the heart of demography. Against this backdrop, this paper examines the type of migration—external (foreign) and internal (domestic)—and why economic, social, political, environmental, as well as cultural, reasons propel each of them. Some of these trends are accelerated urbanization, more forced movement, feminization of migration, and climate movements, with some deep implications for global and national populations. The health implications of migration are multifaceted, ranging from threats such as disease transmission and mental health issues to benefits such as improved access to healthcare and cultural enrichment. By studying such dynamics, the article brings forward the significance of universal policies in addressing health disparities and taking advantage of the potential of migration for sustainable population growth.
