A SHORT REVIEW ON VIBRATIONAL SPECTROSCOPY
Spectroscopy/spectrometry is often used in physical and analytical chemistry for the identification of substances through the spectrum emitted from or absorbed by them. Infrared spectroscopy is one of the most powerful analytical techniques which provides information on molecular vibrations or more princely on transition between vibrational and rotational energy levels in molecules. The term vibrational spectroscopy is used to describe the techniques of infrared and raman spectroscopy. Present study is helpful in clearly understanding the basic principles and applications of vibrational spectroscopy. In the present study, most of the application of infrared spectroscopy has been taken into account. However such studies are very extensive and can make the work easier in the upcoming projects.
