Study of Guduchi Kwath and Kiratatikta Kwath to Increase the Platelet Count in Dengue Fever: A Review
Abstract: Dengue fever, an infectious disease caused by the dengue virus, poses a severe health threat globally, especially in tropical and subtropical regions. One of the critical complications of dengue is thrombocytopenia, or the significant reduction in platelet count, which can result in severe bleeding and other health issues. While modern medicine offers symptomatic relief, Ayurveda suggests effective, natural alternatives to help manage platelet reduction and promote faster recovery. This review focuses on the potential efficacy of Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia) Kwath and Kiratatikta (Swertia chirayita) Kwath for increasing platelet count in dengue patients. Keywords: Guduchi Kwath, Kiratatikta Kwath, Dengue Fever, Thrombocytopenia, Platelet Count, Ayurveda, Immunomodulatory, Rasayana, Tinospora Cordifolia, Swertia Chirayita
