In the case of untreated hypothyroidism, we are talking about of seri-ous heart disease, depression, psychosis, dementia, musculoskeletal problems. This paper dis-cusses the most common health problems of each system and preventive management includingdiet and physical activity. The study group of womenwas characterized by an average intensity of health behavior and life satisfaction scoring 81.06points out of 120 points and 21.56 points out of a possible 35 points, respectively. The level ofhealth behavior positively correlates with life satisfaction. Among women with hypothyroidism, the adoption of health behaviors increases with age, the greatest correlation was seen for healthpractices and proper eating habits. There are still noticeable gaps in the level of correct behaviorin the study group, which may translate into low life satisfaction. Further health, nutrition andpsychological education is needed among chronic patients.
