Customer Satisfaction-Oriented Multi-Server Optimization for Profit Maximization in Cloud Computing

With the rapid evolution of cloud computing, profit maximization has emerged as a key challenge forcloud service providers (CSPs). While conventional strategies emphasize resource allocation and energyefficiency, recent studies underscore the significance of customer satisfaction as a vital driver of servicedemand and, ultimately, profitability. This paper presents a customer satisfaction-oriented optimizationmodel that integrates a multi-server configuration approach to enhance provider profits. A discrete hillclimbing algorithm is employed to identify the optimal server configuration based on factors such asQuality of Service (QoS) and Price of Service (PoS). Experimental results demonstrate that increasingservice capacity significantly boosts customer satisfaction and market share, resulting in higher profitsdespite the associated rise in operational costs.
