Experiența colectivă a sublimului și fenomenul sărbătorii

This paper investigates the relationship between the collective experience of the sublime and the phenomenon of celebration. To accomplish my task, I will first need to explain the connection between the Kantian sublime and the interhuman field, as it was described in the works of Martin Buber. Secondly, Daniel Stern’s moments of meeting will be analyzed in conjunction with Martin Buber’s I-Thou relationship, in order to prove that this human experience of encountering the other necessarily involves the critical instant of decision and engagement. Nevertheless, the accounts of Marc Richir and Hans-Georg Gadamer concerning the phenomenon of celebration will be interrogated together, so that I can show how the "transitional area of the sublime" functions in the case of the authentic community between persons.
