The Role of Women in Water Conservation: Empowering Change for Sustainable Water Governance
Abstract Water scarcity, driven by climate change, population growth, and unsustainable practices, poses a global challenge. Women play vital yet under recognized roles in water management, from household water collection to leading community projects and advocating for policy changes.[1] Case studies from India[1] and Jordan[2] highlight their leadership in bridging traditional knowledge with modern practices. Despite cultural and economic barriers, women drive progress in water conservation through education, innovation, and leadership.[3] Emphasizing gender-inclusive policies and empowering women can unlock transformative solutions for sustainable and equitable water management
