FORECASTING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE USE OF OIL-BASED EMULSION FOR WATER INSULATION WORKS

Currently, most of the fields in Russia have entered a late stage of development, characterized by an increase in the water content of products, an increase in the rate of decline in oil production, and an increase in the low-yield fund. An experimental section of the area "X" of the Romashkinskoye oil field is also at the final stage of development. More than 50% of the well stock on the site operates with a water content above 75% and has low oil and high water flow rates. One of the effective ways to combat waterlogging, which accounts for a significant part of the volume of repair work in wells, is waterproofing work. The effect of water insulation works is ambiguous and is due to the determination of optimal geological and technological indicators of the use of known and new technologies. The purpose of the work is to substantiate water insulation works based on an oil–based emulsion, taking into account geological, technological indicators and experience in using the technology.
