CORRELATION BETWEEN CENTRAL FOVEAL THICKNESS AND HBA1C IN PATIENTS WITH DIABETES MELLITUS
Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a prevalent metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia, which can lead to microvascular complications, including diabetic retinopathy (DR) and diabetic macular edema (DME). Central foveal thickness (CFT) measured by Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is a key parameter for assessing macular health. This study aimed to explore the correlation between CFT and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels in patients with Diabetes Mellitus.
