THE ROLE OF INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS IN THE STANDARDIZATION OF CORPORATE LAW AND INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS NORMS
Abstract This article examines the role of international organizations in the standardization of corporate law and international relations norms. The contribution of the United Nations (UN) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) to the harmonization of legal norms is discussed, including the development of standards for international trade and corporate governance. Examples of unification through the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and programs by the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank aimed at improving the investment climate are analyzed. The role of international arbitration institutions in ensuring unified dispute resolution standards is also explored. The significance of such initiatives for the convergence of legal systems is highlighted.
