The Impact of Social Media on contemporary Indian English Poetry and Its Dissemination

Abstract This study aims to explore the various ways that social media platforms have influenced the production, distribution, and reception of ‘Modern Indian English Poetry’. It looks at how platforms for 'Modern Indian English Poetry' have changed as a result of digital platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, which provide new platforms to express audience's expression. The immediacy and accessibility of online platforms are contrasted with traditional means of publication and performance in order to examine changes in aesthetic sensibilities and thematic concerns. This study looks at how social media is changing the way poetry is written. It examines how text and images are used and how they are affecting the form, content, and style of Indian English poetry. It also looks at how social media is helping poets connect with each other and build online communities, which allows them to reach more people and work on projects together. This study also talks about the problems that come with social media, like copyright issues, how to know if something is real, and the fact that people's attention spans are getting shorter. This research wants to give a clear picture of how social media is changing the way Indian English poetry is written today. Keywords: Indian English Poetry, Dissemination, Digital Transformation
