COMPLIANCE OF THE INLAND RIVER VESSEL'S ENGINES WITH THE EUROPEAN ENVIRONMENTAL STANDARD STAGE V EU

The countries of the European Union are developing a sufficient number of regulatory requirements, standards to solve problems related to environmental pollution in order to reduce the level of toxic emissions. The introduction of the Stage V standard affects both manufacturers of engines with a capacity of 25 to 761 hp and consumers of special equipment. The Stage V standard regulations impose a limit on the volume of soot particles PN in exhaust gases. The diesel particulate filter will be modernized. The main problem will be the filtration of microparticles from 0.1 to 1 mcm in size, the share of which does not exceed 5%. But nevertheless, they pose the greatest danger to health. Progress in environmental standards not only improves the state of the atmosphere and delays global warming, but also develops engine production technologies, namely, fuel is consumed more slowly, the dimensions of the structure are reduced, and material consumption is reduced.
