Nomada pygmaea Cresson 1863
Nomada pygmaea Cresson, 1863: 299 (Connecticut holotype). Holotype. Male USA: Connecticut, [ex coll. E. Norton] (ANSP). Notes: This species is apparently one of the most numerous Nomada in the woodlands of the Northeastern United States, with records published for all counties in Massachusetts (Veit et al. 2022[“2021”]) and all but one county (Windham County) in Connecticut. Although there are many records it is still likely under-recorded in digitized record sets due to serious identification difficulties and inability to recognize this and other similar Nomada from community science images.
