SituaSUAS – IDENTIFICATION OF VULNERABILITIES, RISKS AND POTENTIALITIES IN THE UNIFIED SOCIAL ASSISTANCE SYSTEM

This study aims to present SituaSUAS as a tool capable of identifying the vulnerabilities, risks, and potentialities of families assisted by the Unified Social Assistance System, as well as its development process, which involved: establishing a consensus on the need for such an instrument; anchoring it in a theoretical framework that advocates the importance of social protection and maintaining a Welfare State in Brazil; its contribution to the development of Social Work with Families as a practice outlined in the National Social Assistance Policy; the necessary steps to meet the methodological rigor of constructing instruments based on Psychometrics; and the presentation of some results and discussions that confirmed its effectiveness and sensitivity in identifying risks, damages, and potentialities after a pilot application involving 392 families assisted by Unified Social Assistance System in the Federal District.
