An investigation of the analysis of jobs, with particular attention paid to Heritage Food's Limited

Abstract : In any business, job analysis is a management activity that is of the utmost significance since it is at the center of all operations that pertain to human resources. Its basic assumptions, on the other hand, are becoming more problematic in today's dynamic work environment as a result of factors such as the growing competitiveness, the shorter product life-cycles, the fast technical developments, and the changing nature of organizational structures. Furthermore, the approaches that are used in conventional job analysis are simply not relevant to a large number of new and emerging positions, and some writers express the opinion that this may even be a barrier to the success of the business. As a result of this, there have been requests for a job analysis strategy that is more proactive and purposeful in order to ensure that the processes will continue to be relevant. The purpose of this article is to highlight the need of taking a strategic approach to job analysis, while also presenting a framework for strategic job analysis and discussing the ramifications for businesses.
