Determination of Primary School Teachers' Views on the Concept of Distance Education

The purpose of the study was to learn how classroom teachers felt about the idea of distance learning. The study used quantitative research techniques. The research group is educators who are employed in Kocaeli province's Darıca District during the 2022–23 academic year. In the research, it was used the 18-item "Distance Education Scale" to collect data. Data analysis used descriptive statistics, the T-Test for pairwise comparisons of normally distributed data, and ANOVA for multiple comparisons. Relationship tests were conducted using the correlation test. The findings obtained in the research are given under the titles of marital status, generation and professional seniority. It was discovered that single teachers performed better on the sub-dimension of personal suitability and effectiveness, when the mean scores of the classroom instructors for remote learning were investigated according to the marital status. It was discovered that the teachers from the 1946–64 Baby Boomer generation differed significantly depending on their scores in the subdimensions of personal suitability, effectiveness, and teaching were lower than the average of the other generations. The mean score of teachers with a professional seniority of 21 years and above in the sub-dimensions was found to be lower than the teachers in other seniority groups. It was also shown that teachers,6 to 10 years performed better on average than teachers,16 to 20 years and more.
