Effective Strategies For Implementing The Integrated Teacher Education Programme Under NEP- 2020

The Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP), introduced under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, aims to revolutionize teacher training in India by offering a four-year integrated course that combines both subject expertise and pedagogical skills. This innovative approach addresses the gap in traditional teacher education models by preparing teachers with a holistic educational foundation. ITEP offers multidisciplinary degrees such as B.A. B.Ed., B.Sc. B.Ed., and B.Com. B.Ed., making it the new minimum qualification for school teachers.
