CORRELATION OF SPEECH AND GLOBAL STRATEGIES IN POLITICAL DIS-COURSE AND DISCOURSE OF INTERNET COMMUNICATION

Abstract Contemporary linguistics contains numerous studies dedicated to researching political discourse against the background of any military actions. The present research is dedicated to studying the implementation of the CONFRONTATION strategy in the discourse of Internet communication as a consequent responsive reaction to the strategies realised in the political discourse against the background of the ongoing military actions in Ukraine and published in different social media. This work aims to show the direct correlation between the initial nature of political content, published or reported on the matter of the military actions in Ukraine in the media and the responsive nature of the feedback to it provided in posts or comments to this content. English and German spoken and/or written public statements by high-ranking officials, deputies and political leaders, dedicated to the daily events and changes in Ukraine as well as comments related to them, posted on social media will be used as research material. The scientific novelty of this study lies in the following: the classification of psychological strategies of self-presentation is for the first time used in the context of speech strategies realised in political discourse to implement global strategies, in particular – influencing the target audience; the strategy of emotional propaganda for the first time acquires the definition of a global strategy of political discourse.
