Palpostilpnus pterodactylus Reshchikov, Santos, Liu, Barthelemy 2019

Palpostilpnus pterodactylus Reshchikov, Santos, Liu, Barthélémy, 2019 (Figures 3B, 12) Palpostilpnus pterodactylus Reshchikov, Santos, Liu, Barthélémy, 2019: 24. Holotype: ♀, CHINA, Hong Kong (NHRS). Diagnosis. Reddish body with black markings; occipital carina dorsally broadly absent; postero-ocellar distance 1.5–2.0× ocular-ocellar distance; ventral side of F8 onwards of female flattened and thickened; combined area superomedia and area petiolaris of propodeum present and anteriorly closed; T1 stout, 1.5× as long as apical width. Material examined. 1♀ (IEBR), VIETNAM, Cao Bang Province, Nguyen Binh, Quang Thanh, 8 June 2020, sweep net, Nguyen D.H. coll.; 1♀ (IEBR), VIETNAM, Vinh Phuc Province, Me Linh Station for Biodiversity, 21°23’03”N 105°42’54’E, 83 m a.s.l., 10–20 June 2020, Malaise trap, Tran D.D. coll.; 1♀ (IEBR), same locality and collector, 21°23’03”N 105°42’40’E, 70 m a.s.l., 1–10 September 2021. Distribution. Previously known from China (Reshchikov et al. 2019). These are the first records of this species from Vietnam. Remarks. In comparison with the holotype specimen, the Vietnamese specimens have shorter postero-ocellar distance (1.5–1.6× ocular-ocellar distance vs. 2.0×). The specimen from Cao Bang Province has entirely black flagellomeres instead of yellowish F1–F7, the specimen from Vinh Phuc Province has reddish brown transverse stripes on T2 onwards instead of black stripes. Otherwise, they agree with the original description of Reshchikov et al. (2019).
