Impact of Limestone Powder, Marble Dust, and Palm Oil Fuel Ash on the Performance of Concrete – A Perspective Review
In the developing countries, the need for Portland cement is thriving significantly. Much research is going on, in studying the favor of different sustainable materials to replace cement and sand to reduce adverse impact on environment due to manufacturing of cement and extraction of sand from riverbeds. The present work evaluates the use of various mineral admixtures that are added to concrete for modifying its physical and chemical properties positively. This review mainly discusses mineral admixtures like limestone powder, marble dust and Palm oil fuel ash. The mechanical properties of concrete hits differently for different mineral admixtures.Various concrete properties like compressive strength, split tensile strength and flexural strength, workability was described.
