ENHANCING LITERARY ANALYSIS THROUGH FILM ADAPTATIONS IN A FLIPPED CLASSROOM
In recent years, the flipped classroom approach has become a prominent pedagogicalmodel, particularly in literature education. This model reverses traditional roles by havingstudents engage with instructional materials outside the classroom, freeing up in-class timefor discussions, problem-solving, and analysis. The flipped classroom approach has provenespecially beneficial for EFL (English as a Foreign Language) students, as it allows them toengage with complex literary texts at their own pace, improving comprehension and retention. When combined with film adaptations of classic English literary works like “Pride andPrejudice” and “Hamlet”, the flipped classroom enhances students’ understanding of literarythemes and cultural contexts. This approach fosters an inclusive learning environment wherestudents can develop critical thinking skills, language proficiency, and cultural awareness, making it a highly effective strategy for EFL learners.
