Ancyloscelis melanostoma Cockerell, 1923 [Holotype: CASC; ♂ La Paz, Baja California Sur; June 3, 1921] Ancyloscelis melanostoma has been previously reported in BCS (Ayala et al. 1996). We examined specimens collected in the Gulf Coast in August 1966 (1 ♂), and Sarcocaulescent Shrubland in September 2016 (1 ♂), October 2016 (5 ♂), and October 2018 (1 ♂; EMEC). Additionally, the CARCIB team collected this species in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2019 in the Magdalena Plains (2 ♂, 2 ♀), Sacrocauluscent Shrubland (9 ♂, 2 ♀), and Tropical Dry Forest (1 ♀). See fig. 92.
