GreenComp-based Questionnaire (GCQuest) - PT
This questionnaire (Portuguese version) was developed on the basis of the GreenComp framework (Bianchi et al., 2022), with a particular emphasis on the concept of 'Valuing Sustainability'. In order to guarantee both the validity and the usability of the questionnaire, a rigorous methodology was employed. The process included consultations with experts, software-driven analysis and randomisation to reduce bias, thereby enhancing the reliability of the questionnaire in a variety of educational contexts. A significant innovation was the utilisation of a 6-point Likert scale, which prompted respondents to provide definitive answers, thereby facilitating a more nuanced perception of sustainability competencies. The resulting tool was designed for wide application in sustainability education, drawing on a synthesis of literature and expert input to address the complexities of sustainability competencies in a comprehensive manner. This tool was developed as part of the EduCITY project, and a detailed account of its development process is provided in a series of three papers: i) Designing a Sustainability Competencies Questionnaire: Insights from a Systematic Literature Review; ii) [under revision]; and, iii) [under revision]. In addition to the development of the aforementioned questionnaire, an Excel-based tool (Excel-based analytical tool for GreenComp-based Competencies Questionnaire (GCQuest)) was also created. This tool is designed to facilitate the automatic processing and visualisation of the data collected. Reference: Bianchi, G., Pisiotis, U., Cabrera, M., Punie, Y., & Bacigalupo, M. (2022).
