A tool for validation and vetting of model results in IAM COMPACT
Poster presented at the online poster session for the 17th IAMC annual conference. Abstract: This poster presents `iam-validation`, a public version of a Python package developed to diagnose and validate compliance with formats, naming conventions and harmonization data for model results in the EU Horizon Europe project IAM COMPACT. The package can be leveraged to perform similar tasks for any project or set of models that produce output in IAMC format. It leverages the existing packages pyam, nomenclature, and pathways-ensemble-analysis, but expands them with functionality that allow more detailed feedback on where models outputs differ from defined standards and scenario protocols, and produces year-by-year comparisons with harmonization data sets.
