Erken Çocukluk Dönemindeki Çocukların (3-6 Yaş Grubu) Dijital Araç Kullanım Sürelerinin Psiko Sosyal Gelişimlerine Etkisi

In the digital age, tablets and phones have become primary technological tools used by the digital generation for entertainment and spending time. Technology games in these devices' applications hold an important place and have become popular entertainment tools. Digital games are applications programmed with technologies that allow children to access virtual and visual environments remotely. According to global research, over a billion people, including children and adults, spend time with digital games, and younger children (5-6 years old) are being introduced to digital games at earlier ages. Within the research scope, surveys were conducted with preschool teachers responsible for educating 3-6-year-old children and parents of children in the same age group in our country. The survey questions aimed to investigate the effects of digital usage duration on the development of children aged 3-6 years. Survey data was analyzed comparatively. As a result, unconscious and prolonged use of digital tools can negatively impact children's psychosocial development and problem-solving skills. From birth, intensive social communication and spending time with peers will contribute to children's socialization and language development. For this purpose, children aged 3-6 should be encouraged to start school early and spend more time with their peers by ensuring they are in environments where social relationships are intensively experienced.
