FAIR Principles to Enhance Research Transparency and Impact: From Fundamentals to Practice
The advantages of Open Science practices are increasingly recognized within the scientific community, particularly in terms of enhancing the accessibility and impact of research results. This presentation will first introduce the foundational concepts of FAIR principles - Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable – and their role in Open science, demonstrating how they promote the transparency and reproducibility of scientific results. In the second part we will present a case study on the practical implementation of FAIR principles in the field of material science, illustrating both the benefits and the challenges of their adoption.
