Tecnologias móveis de quinta geração (5G): riscos geopolíticos no contexto do sistema de patentes

Research is related to intellectual property and innovation in a world where geopolitics is one of the dominant factors. After some preliminary approaches and brief historical and contemporary considerations, the article, through the identification of driving forces incidental to the patent system, analyzes the current scenario regarding innovation and competition in the telecommunications industry, especially technologies related to networks of fifth generation mobile communications. The results demonstrate a complex and turbulent environment, especially when a technologically dynamic industry such as telecommunications, with performance measured by the speed of innovation, is surrounded by the aura of national security.
