NEW STIGMATS OF YOUTH: ТHЕ HOPES AND RISKS OF GENERATION
The article is devoted to the study of spiritual, moral and civilizational basics, an essential part of which are traditional values, and their transformation in the perception of young social groups. Sociological studies of recent years indicate that the main stigmata of Armenian identity are: blood relationship, Christian religion, Armenian language, family, national culture and national identification. These are those value orientations that make us similar to Russian society and its basic values. At the same time, even in the matters of basic values, a certain intergenerational gap is noticeable, which characterizes the young modern generation. This value intergenerational gap has long been noted by sociologists, and has recently deepened especially with the advent of the Internet and the second, virtual reality. The researchers are deeply concerned about the excessive involvement of the younger generation in modern technical means of communication, through various kinds of gadgets. Virtual, artificial reality or metasociety is gradually beginning to displace and replace the social reality. The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) in our days has significantly accelerated this process. Special studies of the intelligence quotient (IQ) shows a noticeable decrease in its indicators among the younger generation. However, according to Western sociologists, what is happening is not the "intellectual downgrade" among younger generation, but a modification of way of thinking, which requires improvement of the measuring methods (IQ), in accordance with the changed realities.
