Proceedings and submissions from a 'Gathering of the Raven Clan" celebrating the life of Prof John Raven (1941- 2024)

A memorial gathering of the ‘Raven Clan’ was held at the Botanic Garden, University of Dundee, on 6th July 2024, with over 80 attendees representing John’s past and present colleagues and friends. We are grateful for support from staff at the Botanic Garden who generously made facilities available for over 80 attendees, as well as financial support from the School of Life Sciences, University of Dundee, and James Hutton Institute. During preparations for the celebration of John’s life, we solicited tributes from colleagues from around the world, and extracts from these are included in this document; in an accompanying document (Raven Clan Gathering powerpoint slideshow), we collated images submitted by friends and family, interspersed with abbreviated comments and tributes.
