Smart Rehabilitation: Leveraging Technology for Enhanced Geriatric Care
Geriatric rehabilitation involves a collaborative procedure between a medical professional and patients with the goal of preserving or regaining optimal function in multiple domains of life. New methods for assisting geriatric rehabilitation are provided by Internet of Things (IoT)-based technologies. Such technologies may facilitate easy and real-time data communication between healthcare providers to support the delivery of care, in addition to providing tools for measuring and monitoring health issues. The elderly population may benefit significantly from Internet of Things (IoT) technologies that guarantee efficient and equitable rehabilitation. Example of IoT are Bio stamp and Ambient sensor devices.
