Identifying Instructors' Ethical Rules for Content Design in Open and Distance Learning: A Questionnaire Development Study
The focus of this research is the development of the "Questionnaire for Determining Instructor Ethical Rules in Open and Distance Education Content Design" to determine the ethical responsibilities of instructors in content design in open and distance education. The target group of the research are teachers. The development of the scale was based on a review of the ethical elements that should be considered in content design in the literature and on expert opinion. The questionnaire contains a total of 17 items in four main dimensions: intellectual property, accuracy of information, confidentiality and equality. A Likert scale was used to assess the extent to which educators agreed or disagreed with each item. The questionnaire design process included obtaining expert opinions, pilot testing, and reliability and validity analyses. The questionnaire items were clarified and improved with the feedback from the experts. The pilot test was conducted with a small group of educators to assess the readability and comprehensiveness of the scale. Reliability and validity analyses were carried out using the pilot data and showed that the scale was reliable and valid. During the pre-application process, the validity and reliability of the questionnaire were examined using observational data and necessary improvements were made in line with expert suggestions. As a result, it was found that the items of the "Questionnaire for Determining Instructor Ethical Rules in Open Distance Education Content Design" developed within the scope of the research are reliable and valid by providing the specified criteria.
