Trend Analysis of Rainfall and Temperature pattern in Afzalpur Taluk, Karnataka, India.

The present study, which focused on climate variability, especially with regard to annualair temperature and rainfall, has received a great deal of attention global. The present studyobserves both long-term and short-term fluctuations in monsoon rainfall and temperature in thestudy area. Both rainfall and temperature data collected for the period of 2015 to 2019 wereexamined using, statistical trend analysis techniques was applied such as Mann-Kendall andSen's slope estimator test were used to observe and analyze the problems. Statistically significanttrends are noticed for rainfall, and the result is statistically significant at 95 % confident levelduring the period of 2015 to 2019. Rainfall is showing a quite good increasing trend (Sen's slope= 2.013) during monsoon season. In the case of maximum the temperature for the observedperiod, it showed a slight warming or increasing trend (Sen's slope = 0.21) while the minimumtemperature trend showed a cooling trend (Sen's slope = −0.005), but the result of the maximumtemperature trend analysis is statistically significant at 95 % confident level, on the different, thetrend analysis result of minimum temperature is not statistically significant.
