Effects on Germination Pattern of Jowar of Novel Synthesis of N-Substituted thioamidodicyandiamide
Abstract: Plant physiology has increasingly important role in agricultural research problem. One of the primary tasks in the future will be to increase production of food and resist pathogen of the crop. Organic drugs have intense biological activity to the seed before sowing in order to control and suppress the pathogens. So the aim of the present work is to study the above said topic. In the present work in our laboratory novel series of 1-[S-TAG-N substituted thioamido] dicyandiamide have been synthesized successfully by refluxing TAG Br with cyanoamidino substituted thiocarbamides and 1-formamidino-3-substituted formidino-thiocarbamides in isopropanol for 3 hours. The purity and formation of products and their separation were carried out by gas chromatography and column chromatography. The structure of all the synthesized compounds was justified on the basis of chemical characteristics, elemental analysis, IR, NMR and mass spectral analysis. The effect a novel synthesized dicyandiamide and their derivatives on germination pattern on Jowar was studied at 0.001 M concentration at 28ºC. The effect of molar concentration percentage on the rate of germination of jowar seed along with the yield was also studied.
