Scaphium quadraticolle Solsky 1874

Scaphium quadraticolle Solsky Scaphium quadraticolle Solsky, 1874: 221. (Figs 25–36) Remarks. This species was based on a specimen coming from the Sarafschan Valley, near Aksay, Uzbekistan (Solsky 1874). Subsequently, it was recorded from a number of Asian localities by Heyden (1880, 1893, 1896), Jakobson (1910), Iablokoff-Khnzorian (1985), Löbl (1986, 1992) and Kompantsev & Pototskaya (1987). The larva of S. quadraticolle is described in the latter paper. Natural history. Kompantsev & Pototskaya (1987) observed the larvae in living sporocarps of Agaricales. IL collected the species in Pakistan from sieved samples of moist forest leaf litter. The Pakistan sites are all from altitudes between 2000 and 3000 m above s. l. Distribution range. North Afghanistan; Kazakhstan; Kyrgyzstan; North Pakistan; Tajikistan; Turkmenistan; Uzbekistan (Löbl 2018).
