In Pursuit of Precision: Investing oxygen impact on breast cancer spheroids
This study focuses on the effects of oxygen levels on MDA-MB-231 breast cancer spheroids. By comparing spheroid growth in hyperoxic (18.5% O₂) and hypoxic (2% O₂) environments using advanced 3D cell culture techniques, the research highlights significant differences in cell growth, structure, and metabolism. The findings suggest that mimicking in vivo oxygen levels is crucial for more accurate disease modeling.
