To achieve this, we opted for a methodology based on bibliographical research with a qualitative approach, on scientific and academic works and official sources from the city hall. Based on the results, it can be seen that cities have been suffering constantly from continuous population growth, especially in metropolitan regions. Therefore, measures that optimize urban mobility become a challenge, as a consequence of the increase in these indices, the impacts on the environment, therefore, assertive public measures are necessary that can optimize urban mobility and provide sustainable measures for public transportation.
