D3.6 Business models - v2

The primary aim of this deliverable is to evaluate the potential of the current baseline model in fostering sustainable new business opportunities while pinpointing any deficiencies through the lens of the canvas business model methodology, as delineated in D4.2. Our approach involves a thorough analysis of the data extracted from the baseline model, leveraging the protocol outlined in D3.2 to unearth viable business opportunities and sustainable models. Employing the business model canvas as our overarching framework, we highlight these opportunities within the initial research data, drawing attention to areas where data may be insufficient. This deliverable provides a comprehensive definition of the business model canvas and underscores distinct business opportunities identified in each region, drawing insights from conducted interviews and the summary results generated from D3.2. To thoroughly assess these opportunities within the business model canvas framework, D3.6 also addresses existing gaps by introducing new and supplementary questions, specifically focusing on categories within the canvas framework. These questions are proposed for incorporation into future workshops and interviews. Furthermore, this deliverable extends its scope by building upon analyses from prior deliverables and the current available information. It offers insights into how and where gaps should be filled, providing a roadmap for a comprehensive analysis of sustainable new business models. Through this approach, we aim to enhance the overall understanding of the canvas business model methodology and contribute to the development of robust and sustainable business strategies.
