Safety Analysis of PV Systems for Soundproof Tunnel Based on Voltage and Current Mismatch
Nowadays, the installation of photovoltaic(PV) systems integrated into structure is increased. Traditional PV systems are installed with an optimal tilt and azimuth angle. However, suitable PV systems are difficult to install with an optimal installation angle due to shape and aesthetics of building. Sometimes, theses are configurated with different angles in a series as like tunnel PV systems. Various angles of PV systems are caused by current and voltage mismatch conditions. Due to mismatch of systems, by-pass diode fault can occur and it can be developed into fire accidents. Therefore, the safety issues depending on current and voltage mismatch have to consider for the PV systems which are consisted of difference angle in a string. In this paper, the voltage and current mismatch of tunnel PV system are confirmed with monitoring data. The mismatch of module in the string of tunnel PV systems are analyzed using optimizers input and output data.
