The article deals with the process of performing the task «Designing a women's product with artistic embroidery», which allows not only to consolidate knowledge and skills in the design and modeling of clothing, but also to study the stages and sequence of design and manufacture of new models at the enterprises of the clothing industry. The requirements and the main aspects of performing the task at each stage are disclosed, the relationship between the sequence of designing a new product with the process of creating artistic embroidery is shown
