Methodological view on the psychological essentialism

The issue of psychological essentialism was formed in the late 1980s and is still being supplemented by new studies. Most of them are aimed at the mechanisms of formation and development of this phenomenon in ontogenesis. However, as shown in a number of analyzed publications, manifestations of psychological essentialism can also be observed in the field of scientific practice, in particular in psychology and medicine. The article shows that such manifestations are mainly due to insufficient scientific and methodological competence of current scientists and practitioners. I consider the measures proposed for the reduction of psychological essentialism in scientific practice to be insufficient, since they do not affect the essence of the problem
