La reivindicación del servicio público en Colombia: una mirada subjetiva desde su genealogía

Public service is the "pierre angular" of administrative law, however, this figure has given way due to the way in which it has been understood and applied throughout the historical development of the Colombian legal system. Initially it was understood as any activity of the State -subjective public service-, later as only the actions that tend to satisfy the general interest within a regulated market -objective public service-, however, the distinction of both notions more than antagonists, seem complementary, since they allow to harmonize how the Colombian legal system has both for the exercise of its functions and the satisfaction of the general interest.
