Impact of nanostructured additives in dental denture base printed resins on improving antimicrobial activity and mechanical properties: A scoping review
This project will aim to investigate whether the incorporation of nanostructured additives into resins used for 3D printing can enhance their antimicrobial potential while preserving their mechanical properties. Additionally, the study will seek to identify gaps in the literature that may guide future research. To achieve this objective, a comprehensive scoping review will be conducted using electronic databases, including PubMed/Medline, Embase, Scopus, and ISI Web of Science. Study selection will be carried out independently by two reviewers, with disagreements resolved through discussion or consultation with a third reviewer. Data extraction will focus on key information such as study design, interventions performed, and main outcomes assessed.
