Public Self-Consciousness and Narcissism
This project explores the role of public self-consciousness as a shared attentional mechanism in pathological narcissism. Drawing on the Self-Regulatory Executive Function (S-REF) model, it investigates how self-focused attention and metacognitive beliefs interact to sustain grandiose and vulnerable narcissistic traits. The broader aim is to clarify transdiagnostic processes underlying self-regulatory dysfunctions and to inform targeted interventions across clinical and subclinical populations.
