The Principle of Causal Transitions:Toward a Unified Theory of Structural Emergence Across Scales
This paper proposes the Principle of Causal Transitions, a unifying theoretical construct that explains the emergence of complex systems—from the formation of stars and planets to the appearance of life, consciousness, social institutions, and advanced civilizations. Drawing from thermodynamic asymmetries, information compression fields, and recursive causal topology, the principle postulates that all such phenomena are governed by scale-invariant transitions in systemic coherence. We define “causal transitions” as non-linear transformations in the structural regime of a system, catalyzed by the internal reorganization of entropic gradients and the recursive self-binding of information flows. This framework allows for a new scientific ontology where stars, minds, and civilizations are seen as different phases in a cosmic compression field. Ultimately, we aim to establish a lawlike account of emergence grounded in causal geometry, entropy modulation, and symbolic recursion.
