CANreduce Mindfulness RCT Dataset: The Effects of Mindfulness and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy in Minimally-Guided Internet-based Self-Help in Cannabis Misusers

This project is a three-arm randomised controlled trial (RCT) designed to evaluate the effectiveness of two distinct internet- and mobile-based interventions (IMIs) for adults who frequently use cannabis. The study compared a novel, mindfulness-based, self-help interventio with a CBT-based, self-help intervention (an adapted version of CANreduce 2.0) and a waiting list control group. Both six-week interventions consist of eight modules aimed at reducing cannabis use and associated mental health symptoms. The primary objective is to ascertain whether these self-help interventions can result in a substantial decrease in the number of days on which cannabis is consumed, with follow-up evaluations conducted at 6 weeks, 3 months, and 6 months following the baseline assessment.
