The role of interactive exhibits in science learning

Data thesis research Birgit Joosen (2025, KU Leuven) - "From curiosity to comprehension: the role of interactive exhibits in science learning" The dataset consists of drawings on the theme of electricity, created by fourth-grade primary school children before and after a museum visit to Technopolis. These drawings are complemented by on-site observations conducted during the museum visit, as well as retrospective think-aloud sessions with the children using their drawings after the visit. Together, these materials reflect how interactive exhibitions can positively influence young people’s learning processes by fostering engagement, conceptual understanding, and interest in scientific topics.
