Factors influencing patient safety in teleconsultations in health services: a scoping review protocol
This is a Scoping Review. Objective: To map the evidence of factors influencing patient safety in teleconsultations in health services. This protocol addresses the need to map contributing factors, which are circumstances, actions, or conditions that may compromise safe health care delivery, and mitigating factors, which interrupt failure trajectories and reinforce protective barriers. These factors often interact and may originate from systemic, organisational, technological, human and behavioural, patient-related, or external sources. This review will synthesize evidence from a variety of sources, including peer-reviewed and gray literature, to provide a comprehensive overview of the actions implemented in this context.
